The first time I heard about making caesar chicken in the Crock Pot, I assumed it was for a caesar salad with, you know, chicken. And while it’s true that you can use any leftover protein on top of a salad the next day or even in a wrap, the real reason this recipe has “caesar” in it is because of the creamy salad dressing that’s one of the ingredients.

What makes this slow cooker dinner recipe so incredibly easy is this: you’re dumping all of the ingredients in the crock, turning it on and walking away. You won’t believe how few steps it takes to make this tasty dish.

The recipe calls for shredding the chicken at the end and then adding the spinach and cooked pasta. Sorry — you’ll need to boil that separately but that’s the correct way to make pasta. So you will need to come back to the slow cooker to add those final ingredients. But that’s it — easy peasy.

Finally, if you bought any of the ingredients in bulk for this dish — specifically the cream cheese and the baby spinach — you’re practically all the way there to use those ingredients to make slow cooker spinach and artichoke dip. Maybe if you have two Crock Pots, you can make the dip to serve as an appetizer before serving the Slow Cooker Caesar Chicken With Pasta as your main dish.

Notes

This recipe calls for chicken tenderloins. However, as I’ve stated in other chicken Crock Pot recipes, you can easily swap out the chicken for another cut. Got chicken breasts? Great. Just cut them into smaller pieces for this dish. Picked up boneless skinless chicken thighs on sale? No problem. Just substitute them for the tenderloins.

If you don’t feel like serving this with pasta, you can skip the step that has you boiling the pasta on the stovetop. Instead, just enjoy the chicken and spinach you’ve cooked in the crock and serve it as a wrap, on top of salad or with another already-cooked side.
